One Piece - 4 Emperor's Tournament - Saturday, April 4th @11:30

THE BASICS
● Deck size is 80 cards + 1 Leader card
● Deck building is done as a singleton format, meaning there can only
be 1 copy of a unique card per deck. Cards are considered “unique”
based on the set code in the bottom right corner, NOT the name
printed on it.
● You may only include cards in your deck that have the same color(s)
or subtypes / attributes as your leader.
● Your life for the game will be the life printed on your leader +3
additional life. So if your leader’s life says “5” you start with 8, if it’s “4”
you start with 7, etc.

HOW TO PLAY
● Players randomly determine who goes first and play clockwise
starting with that player.
● After deciding who goes first, before mulligans, players in turn order
decide if they would like to do one of the following on their first turn:
1) Be on odd don curve and draw a card (1,3,5,7,9,10)
2) Start on Even curve and don't draw a card (2,4,6,8,10)
● After making the above choice, you may draw your starting hand.
Typical mulligan rules apply. Then place your life (leader printed +3)
● From here, the game plays normally, only you have plenty of more
options on who to attack and plenty of enemies to attack you back.
So, watch out!

MECHANICAL CHANGES
The following are mechanical effect changes/rulings to balance out the
spirit of the printed cards with being played in a now multiplayer free for all
format.
● Cards that target characters/stages an opponent controls can target
any legal target any opponent controls
● Card effects that last until the "end of your opponent's turn" are all
errata'd to last until the start of your turn.
● You may not discard cards to add counter to other people's defense
or block attacks not aimed at you or your characters. HOWEVER you
MAY play counter effects/activate when attacking abilities and fulfill
all parts of the card effect that legally target an opponent’s card(s).
● Card effects that trigger on an opponent’s attack or on block can
trigger even if you are not involved as the attacker/defender involved
in battle.
● Cards that affect "opponent's characters" such as the power
reduction effects of 7c Foxy or OP09's 10c Shanks affect ALL
characters controlled by ALL opponents.
● Cards that say "once per turn during opponent's turn" such as leader
Enel, will refresh their ability at the start of every new opponent’s turn.
● Effects that interact with an opponent’s hand/life will affect all
opponents who are a legal target.
● Card effects that cause an opponent to lose the game will only
eliminate the singular opponent in relation to the effect.
● Card effects that cause a player to win the game, will end the game
and declare that player the winner of the match, with all other
remaining players tying.
● Cards that require meeting a threshold to activate, such as OP06’s
Reiju looking to have less than or equal don then your opponent, or
ST10’s Sanji which checks to see if there’s a 5k power or more
character on board, only requires one opponent/target to utilize the
effect.

ERRATA CARDS
Original card text: [Rush] When your opponent activates [Blocker], if
either you or your opponent has 0 Life cards, you win the game.
Errata’d card text: [Rush] When your opponent activates [Blocker], if
either you or opponent(s) has 0 Life cards, THE BLOCKING
PLAYER LOSES THE GAME

Reason: In tournament play causing all other players at a table to
auto tie would cause point scoring issues along with an unsatisfactory
ending to a game caused by an opponent BMing. While players can
still play as printed in their casual playgroups, this errata looks to
shore up any issues for tournament play.
